In July 2023 the New Generation Plantations and Gatsby Africa, with the support of the Nature and Development Foundation, took a delegation from the Kenyan Government to Ghana to explore how Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and investment in commercial forestry has driven the growth of the sector in Ghana.
The delegation met with the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Forestry Commission, FORM Ghana – a private company with teak plantations, and Miro Forestry – a private company with mixed plantations and plywood production.
