11 Oct to 11 Oct, 2023
In this second meeting of the Peer-to-Peer Talks we hold a thematic session on developing financial strategies and finding the right investor/mechanism to support its implementation.
We explored this topic using practical examples from landscapes and Bankable Nature Solutions projects.
They shared their challenges in developing a long-term funding strategy and all participants contributed to help case presenters to find ways to move forward.
These are the projects that presented their challenges:
- Sioma Seed Growers Association (Zambia).- Strategies for small nature based businesses to secure funding.
- Mahachi Mana Farms (Zambia).- How to deal with the biggest factors that investors look at a business plan from a start-up organization.
- Fund for the Recovery of the Landscape of the Maule Region (Chile)- How to identify and access capital providers interested to support Forest Landscape Restoration via products additional to carbon credits.
We also had a very inspiring talk form Guy Warren from Hamerkop Climate Impacts about the Case of SME’s uptake of Carbon Finance in Zambia.
