NGP|IUFRO Research Program

During the New Generation Plantation (NGP) workshop, held in October 2018 in Beijing, during the IUFRO Congress on Planted Forests, NGP participants agreed that a Research Program resulting from a partnership between NGP and IUFRO Planted Forests Task Force, would contribute to communicating better the benefits of well-managed plantations to the present-day global socio-economic and environmental challenges. 

A joint NGP|IUFRO working group will meet face to face at the University of Edinburgh, to further shape the ideas, develop the framework for a research proposal and decide on the calendar to prepare, finalize and submit the research proposal supporting the Research Program.
